Effective November 21, 2008, Dennis Marketing will no longer be under contract to raise funds on behalf of the Howard County Police Officers' Association. The Association is exploring other solicitation options at this time. The Association thanks the citizens of Howard County for their support over the years. We hope to have a new solicitation program up and running sometime in early 2009. Respectully,

The Howard County Police Officers' Association has contracted with Dennis Marketing, a Baltimore, Maryland telemarketing firm, to conduct our telephone solicitation program.

Dennis Marketing conducts two campaigns a year. One is geared for an associate members program; the second is a holiday campaign. Through these two programs the Association is able to fund some the following activities:



* HCPOA's Annual Awards and Dance Banquet
* HCPOA's Shop-With-A-Cop Program
* HCPOA's Children Holiday Gathering
* Sponsorship of various Youth programs
* Sponsorship of Association sport teams
* Sponsorship of various charity events
* Legislation against crime
* Bereavement aggrangements for officers' families
* Assistance to members in distress
* Legal assistance in job-related matters

The Association closely monitors Dennis Marketing’s' activities and fully investigates any complaints against the company or it's employees.

Please note that the telemarketers making the calls are NOT employees of the Howard County Police Officers' Association, the Howard County Police Department or the Howard County Government.
