Fundraising
The Howard County Police Officers' Association, FOP lodge 21 has contracted with Community Support Group LLC (CSG) to conduct the Association's fundraising program.
CSG will conduct a primary contact and a follow up campaign each year. With the community's support the Association is able to fund some of the following activities:
1. Association's fraternal events
2. Association's Officers' children's holiday party
3. Association's Annual Underprivileged Children's Holiday Shop-With-A-Cop Program
4. Sponsorship of various Association and Youth sports programs and Charitable Events
5. Bereavement arrangements for officers' families
6. Assistance to Association members in distress
7. Legal assistance in job-related matters
The Association closely monitors CSG's activities and fully investigates any complaints against the company or its employees. Complaints and/or Inquires can be e-mailed to hcpoa21@verizon.net Please include the following in your e-mail:

Please note that Community Support Group (CSG) employees are NOT employees of the Howard County Police Officers' Association, the Howard County Police Department or the Howard County Government.
The Howard County Police Officers' Association is an IRS 501(c)(5) not for profit, non-charitable organization. Donations to the Association are not tax deductable for charity purposes.

Q – Who is the Howard County Police Officers’ Association, FOP Lodge 21, Inc. (HCPOA)?
A – We are a multi-purpose organization representing the interests of the Howard County Police Officers. We are also an organization that participates in many charitable, social and community events and functions throughout the year. Our members enjoy a positive reputation from the citizens and communities we serve, and we are very proud of being a first class, professional organization.
Q – Who is the Community Support Group (CSG)?
A - The CSG is a professional public relations firm that assists organizations with fundraising activities. The HCPOA has contracted with the CSG to raise funds on behalf of the organization.
Q – Are CSG employees’ police officers, employees of or members of the Association?
A – NO!! All callers are employees of the CSG. They are not police officers, employees or members of the Association.
Q – How do I know if I am making a contribution to the Howard County Police Officers’ Association and not some other organization claiming to represent Howard County police officers?
A – First and foremost, all checks are made out directly to the Howard County Police Officers’ Association (HCPOA).
Q – I checked the Association’s webpage and noticed that the address and phone number are different than what is listed on this flier. Why is that?
A – The Association maintains different postal addresses and phone numbers to separate business and fundraising calls and mailings.
Q – Can my contribution to the HCPOA be deducted as a “Charitable Donation” on my tax returns?
A – No, donations to the HCPOA are not tax deductable for charitable purposes. The HCPOA is a non-profit, non-charitable organization organized under IRS 501(c)(5) regulations.
